application/pdfWorking in Partnership to Achieve Sustainable Impact Bangladesh is one of the countries that has met the MDG4 target and also exceeded. Nonetheless, there is still a high proportion of children under 5 dying from preventable and manageable conditions. Save the Children set up a coalition with civil society actors in Bangladesh to advocate for the provision of the pneumococcal vaccine, working in unison to coordinate pneumonia advocacy work with the government (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare). Over the past 6 years, the coalition members and Save the Children have developed a Community Case Management (CCM) approach as well. The Pneumococcal vaccine is to be integrated in routine EPI and CCM approach and will be integrated into the next national Child Health Strategy. The coalition has been successful by working with the government and public mobilization efforts. This report encompasses the advocacy and partnership work that brought the vaccine in routine EPI and scaling up of CCM approach.02/08/20153MB
