HOPE project have been contributing to capacity building of school teachers of 45 government primary schools (GPS) on inclusive education since 2016. Before this journey, project initiated to strengthen the capacity of national and upazlia level education officials on Inclusive Education.
Mohona, a grade 3 student, became Book Captain one year ago. Initially, she was a bit afraid and not sure about her role as a book captain. Distribution and collection of story books among 30 to 40 students were not an easy task.
Though primary schools have supplementary reading materials like storybooks provided by government but students often don’t have access to those. Teachers are supposed to distribute the storybooks among the students in a day of each week.
Save the Children HIV/AIDS Program organized a management and leadership workshop between the dates 24/02/18 and 27/02/18. Workshop was organized to initiate another phase of grant equivalent to USD 12 million from the Global Fund. Save the Children is one of the Principle Recipients of the grant titled ‘Prioritized HIV prevention services for Key Populations in Bangladesh’ for the period of December, 2017 to November, 2020.
A team from HIV/AIDS program of Save the Children in Bangladesh visited Niger in Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY) for ‘Improving tuberculosis control and strengthen health systems in Niger’ under the Global Fund grant.
