MoU signed with Directorate General of Health Services on mass causality management

Save the Children signed MoU with Directorate General of Health Services on April 11, 2018. Country Director Mark Pierce signed on behalf of Save the Children and senior officials from DGHS including Prof Dr. AHM Enayet Hossain, Additional Director General of Health Services (Planning and Development) and Line Director, Non Communicable Diseases Control, DGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) were present on the occasion. Purpose of the agreement is to train doctor, nurse and medical staffs on mass causality management, conduct vulnerability assessment of government hospitals in Dhaka and Narayangonj and facilitate hospitals to develop contingency plans to tackle emergency situation. DG Health Services, Save the Children and Plan International will work together to strengthen the capacity of government hospitals for mass causality management considering the earthquake risks of Dhaka and Narayangonj City Corporation under this MoU.
