Officer - MEAL

The opportunity 

The Officer - MEAL is responsible to lead Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning component for Safety Net System for the Poorest (SNSP) Project. The incumbent works under the guidance of MEAL Manager and Project Manager to maintain database, analyse and prepare reports routinely within stipulated timeline. S/he needs to closely work with monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) team and provide assistance to develop and implement MEAL plan for the SNSP Project. S/he has to assist in planning, designing and implementing an effective M&E system for the project, and ensure timely submission of quarterly and project ending MIS and results reports. The Officer MEAL coordinates to collect related information from working location and prepare routine reports, provides technical assistance to the implementing partner. S/he also needs to develop case studies, lessons learned, good practices etc. with support from field based team and ensure a high level of visibility of the project activities by widely disseminating the projects communication products to GoB, Donors, Media, relevant authorities etc.

Qualifications and experience

  • At least 03 years’ working experience in MEAL function in non-profit organizations or humanitarian response program
  • At least 02 years’ experience of working in database or information management
  • Ability to collect quantitative and qualitative data, undertake data entry and basic processing/analysis of data
  • Ability to work in a team with flexibility to undertake challenging tasks and adapt to different working conditions
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in Bengali and Chittagonian, with basic communication skills in English
  • Enthusiasm, motivation, self-confidence, and a proactive approach in problem solving 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, facilitation skills and can work as part of a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics/Anthropology/Sociology or any relevant subject.
