This position will support the Awards Manager in the areas of Awards Management. S/he will work closely with program focal person or the budget holders to support in understanding grant agreement, key donor compliances, budget and key deliverables. S/he will ensure that Awards are managed throughout the awards lifecycle according to SCI award management policy and managed in line with donor condition/compliances. S/he will be responsible for critical analysis of the portfolio and suggest on the burn rate, no cost extension (NCE), cost extension (CE) and budget realignment. The incumbent will ensure that awards are developed in line with the SCI awards policy and ensure timely preparation and review of donor report and submission to the management. S/he will also to maintain the electronic and paper files of each grant and facilitate audit as and when required.
Qualifications and experience
At least 5 years of working experience within the finance department of a national or international organization.
S/he should have experience of budgeting and budget management and proven track record in producing quality reports.
Should have the ability to analyze complex financial data
Sound understanding on different donor compliance will be an advantage
Excellent communication skill, ability to work under pressure
Hands-on experience on MS Office package, particularly in Excel
Master’s Degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting or relevant discipline
